Job Description

Description:

An established foreign food manufacturer has expanded its business in the United States and is currently looking for an Accounting Clerk to join the accounting team in Los Angeles, California. The Accounting Clerk will report to the Accounting Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for daily routine accounting transactions.  

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounts receivable (A/R) operations, including invoicing, payment collection, and account reconciliation 

  • Support accounts payable (A/P) functions as needed and serve as a backup for both A/R and A/P processes 

  • Review, verify, and reconcile bank statements and financial transactions to ensure accuracy 

  • Assist with monthly budget reconciliation and financial analysis to support business decision-making 

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports in a timely and accurate manner to ensure compliance and avoid penalties 

  • Process year-end Form 1099-MISC for vendors in accordance with regulatory requirements 

  • Maintain confidential financial data, reports, and documentation with a high level of integrity 

  • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparing schedules and providing requested documentation 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining accounting SOPs and company-wide financial procedures to improve efficiency and compliance 

  • Perform additional duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

  • Pay: $25.00-$28.00/ hour

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)  

  • Bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and English is preferred 

  • 1+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in accounts receivable or general accounting  

  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles and accounting standards  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel (e.g., PivotTables, XLOOKUP, data analysis) and Word  

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus  

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail with strong organizational skills  

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment  

  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on operational needs
