Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your primary duties will involve:

• Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat, aimed at improving clients' mental health and wellness.
• Encouraging open discussions about emotions and life experiences, guiding clients to gain insights about themselves and their relationships.
• Serving as a client advocate, assisting them in defining realistic and achievable personal goals.
• Evaluating each client's mental health condition and developing tailored treatment plans utilizing a solution-focused methodology informed by your clinical knowledge.
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to fulfill therapy goals effectively.
• Conducting follow-up assessments to ensure clients continue to progress towards their therapeutic objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on working with clients who are prescreened and stable, ensuring a low-acuity environment. Our clientele may include individuals experiencing anxiety, mild depression, and other manageable mental health issues. By providing targeted support to this patient population, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their coping strategies and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Must hold a valid and active license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Experience practicing independently without supervision is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with a compassionate nature, are critical for success in this role.
• Proficiency in using computer systems and teletherapy platforms is required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a remote counseling setting or a community health clinic is preferred.
