Work Environment

This full-time position will allow you to work remotely while participating in a supportive and collaborative virtual team environment. Our typical work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients seeking substance use disorder treatment, identifying their specific needs and recovery goals.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an environment where clients feel safe to share and support one another.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated care and ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
  • Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary, providing vital support in emergency situations related to substance use.
  • Educate patients and their families on addiction, effective recovery strategies, and available community resources to aid in their healing process.
  • Maintain precise and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards to guarantee high-quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will primarily work with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcoholism, drug addiction, and related mental health challenges. Your role will focus on guiding clients through personalized recovery trajectories, addressing both their psychological wellbeing and social support networks.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
