Remote 3D Character Rigging Internship information

What is a remote 3D character rigging internship?

A Remote 3D Character Rigging Internship is a temporary, often entry-level position where individuals learn how to create and set up the digital skeletons and controls that allow 3D characters to move realistically in animations or video games. Interns work remotely, collaborating with animation or game studios from home, using specialized software like Autodesk Maya or Blender. The goal is to gain hands-on experience in rigging while building a professional portfolio and understanding industry workflows.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote 3D character rigging intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote 3D Character Rigging Intern, you need a solid understanding of 3D modeling, animation principles, and rigging fundamentals, often gained through coursework or a relevant portfolio. Proficiency in industry-standard tools like Autodesk Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max, and familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or MEL, are typically required. Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective remote communication skills help interns excel in collaborative virtual environments.
