Job Summary
A Team Home Services is looking for a motivated Remodel Apprentice to join our growing Remodeling Department! This position is ideal for someone with basic construction or handyman experience who wants to build a career in residential remodeling while learning alongside experienced installers and remodel professionals.
The Remodel Apprentice will assist with kitchen, bathroom, flooring, and residential renovation projects throughout the Greater Austin area. The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with residential remodeling projects including kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and general renovations
  • Support demolition, material preparation, installation, and finish work
  • Assist with installing cabinetry, vanities, trim, fixtures, flooring, tile, and other remodel components
  • Help with drywall repairs, painting, framing adjustments, and finish carpentry tasks
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
  • Load, unload, and transport tools and materials as needed
  • Follow project scopes, layouts, and instructions from lead installers and supervisors
  • Learn proper remodeling techniques, safety procedures, and company quality standards
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and team members
  • Keep tools and equipment in good working condition

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 1-2 years' experience in construction, remodeling, handyman work, carpentry, or related trades (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required)
  • Pass a background and drug screening (required)
  • OSHA 10 - Construction Certification (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in active residential jobsite environments
  • Ability to lift at least 55 lbs
