Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Looking for a career in construction, but want more than what the typical construction company has to offer? Lamont Bros. Design & Construction is looking for dedicated, driven individuals to join our team as remodel carpenters.

Lamont Bros wants to help you take care of those you love while also advancing your career. Work for a respected remodeling company with family values, competitive pay, and excellent benefits. We'll provide you with the support and opportunities to grow your professional skills in construction carpentry and customer relations.

Pay & Benefits
  • $18-37 per hour, 40-50 hr. Weeks
  • Health Coverage
  • Matching 401k
  • Project Based Journeyman Bonus Program adding $2500-$6500 annually.
Work responsibilities

As a carpenter at Lamont, your job is to work on a remodel team, provide highly-skilled labor, and complete high-end remodel projects. You'll be assigned with the Lead Carpenter, to just one jobsite at a time, so you can focus on doing your best work for each client. We self perform nearly all the trades in our remodels, so expect to be involved from demo to painting and learn/produce everything in between!

Expectations for this role include:

  • Produce top-quality work
  • Take direction from Remodel Superintendent / Lead Carpenter
  • Follow jobsite safety and productivity measures
  • Work with clients to provide the best remodel experience possible
The Lamont Bros difference

We work in our client's homes every day--and most of them live through the remodeling process. The best fit is someone who is client-focused, empathetic, and cares deeply about the people they work with and for.

If you prefer a commercial jobsite where tobacco use, lewd humor, and strong language are common, this might not be the best fit for you. Our carpenters are ambassadors for Lamont's brand whenever they're on the jobsite or interacting with clients.

We seek client-focused craftsmen and innovators who take pride in their work and share in our company's core values:

  1. Listen well and communicate clearly
  2. Take care of the team
  3. Never stop learning
  4. Always do the right thing
  5. Do whatever it takes
  6. Build things that last
  7. Connect to people with empathy
Required skills and experience

With a variety of remodel projects ranging from kitchens to bathrooms to full-home renovations and the occasional large loss restoration, you can expect to be constantly learning new skills and facing unique challenges. Under direction from our remodel superintendents, you'll be provided with the training and equipment to produce top-quality work.

Excellent attention to detail, a willingness to develop new skills, and a strong understanding of finish carpentry skills will prepare you for success in this role.

Ideally, a strong candidate for a remodel carpenter will have:

  • 3+ years of construction/carpentry experience
  • Excellent skills in rough and/or finish carpentry
  • Creative problem-solving abilities
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience in installing

    • Digging
    • Climbing
    • Lifting up to 80 lbs.
    • Carrying a 4x8 sheet of 3/4 CDX
