Job description

Why This Role Matters

The best retirement professionals do much more than administer plans. They become the person clients call when they need guidance on important decisions.

In this role, you'll help employers build retirement programs that support their business goals while giving employees the tools to prepare for their future. You'll work directly with clients to solve problems, explain complex topics in a way that's easy to understand, and ensure their retirement plans continue to operate smoothly.

You'll also work alongside experienced advisors and retirement professionals who value collaboration and high-quality client service. If you enjoy building relationships, solving problems, and becoming a trusted resource for your clients, you'll fit in well here.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Become the primary advisor for your retirement plan clients so they know who to call whenever questions or challenges arise.
  • Manage qualified retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), 457(b), and 414(h) plans, so clients receive accurate, timely, and dependable service.
  • Lead retirement plan review meetings that help employers understand plan performance, regulatory updates, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Educate plan participants through enrollment meetings, workshops, and individual conversations so they can make informed retirement decisions.
  • Work closely with advisors, TPAs, recordkeepers, broker-dealers, and internal teams to provide a consistent client experience.
  • Stay current on retirement plan regulations and communicate changes in a practical way that helps clients understand what matters to them.
  • Use reporting and CRM tools to monitor client activity, track service, and identify opportunities to improve the overall experience.
  • Look for ways to strengthen client relationships and introduce additional retirement or wealth planning solutions when they create value.

Who You Are

  • You build trust naturally and enjoy becoming the person clients rely on.
  • You can explain complex retirement concepts in a way that makes sense to people who aren't industry experts.
  • You take ownership of your work and follow through on your commitments.
  • You stay organized even when you're balancing multiple clients and competing priorities.
  • You enjoy working with others and believe great client service comes from strong teamwork.
  • You like learning and stay current on changes in the retirement industry.

What You Bring

Your Background

  • Active Nebraska Life & Health Insurance License
  • Series 6 or Series 7 license
  • Series 63, 65, or 66 license
  • Experience managing employer-sponsored retirement plans and building client relationships
  • Strong understanding of 401(k), 403(b), 401(a), 457(b), and 414(h) retirement plans
  • Excellent communication, organization, and client management skills

Valuable Additions

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM platform
  • Knowledge of retirement plan compliance and fiduciary responsibilities
  • Experience presenting to employer groups or retirement plan participants
  • Experience working with investment advisors, TPAs, or broker-dealers
