Job description

Join a leading moving and relocation company in Clinton, MA as an Operations and Dispatch Manager overseeing both local and interstate household goods operations.


Responsibilites:

  • Oversee daily dispatch operations for local, intrastate, and interstate home goods movements.
  • Coordinate personnel scheduling, truck assignment, routing, and equipment utilisation.
  • Manage van line cargo execution, which includes haulage, SIT, registrations, and interline cooperation.
  • Monitor live job progress and handle operational concerns in real time.
  • Ensure the completion and accuracy of bills of lading, inventory, trip sheets, and driver paperwork.
  • Supervise dispatchers, drivers, movers, warehouse employees, and owner-operators.
  • Maintain compliance with the DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and Massachusetts DPU requirements.
  • Manage HOS/ELD compliance, driver certification files, and safety programs.
  • Manage preventive fleet maintenance to ensure trucks and equipment are operationally ready.
  • Monitor operational KPIs such as labour utilisation, claim ratios, on-time performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide support for high-profile residential, corporate relocation, military/GSA, and national account shipments.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years or more of expertise leading moving and storage operations or dispatch.
  • Strong experience with both van line/interstate and local household products moving operations.
  • Understanding of van line systems, tariffs and agency networks
  • Understanding the DOT/FMCSA rules, ELD compliance, and fleet management
  • Experience supervising dispatchers, drivers, movers, and warehouse workers
