Job description

Registered Nurse – Pediatric CVOR | "High Demand"

Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift, Rotating Weekends

Shift options: 8 / 10 / 12 hours


We are seeking a skilled pediatric nurse to prepare patients for heart surgery, including pre-operative care and assessments, and to assist during surgical procedures in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists. This role involves closely monitoring patients throughout and after surgery, managing critical post-operative conditions, and responding to operating room emergencies while ensuring patient safety. You will also educate families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care to support optimal outcomes.


Must-Have Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent acute care experience
  • Pediatric experience required
  • Experience with post–heart surgery patients required
  • Active Texas RN license


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a children’s hospital setting
  • Background in NICU (Neonatal ICU), PICU (Pediatric ICU), or Mother Baby unit
