Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a QC Lab Technician for a specialty chemicals manufacturer in Sealy, TX. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $22.00–$25.00/hr. In this role, you will test mortars and admixtures against QC specifications, record and report test results, and verify certificates of analysis (COAs) for incoming raw materials. This is a long-term placement with a comprehensive benefits package available upon hire.


Pay: $22.00–$25.00/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm

Location: Sealy, TX

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Responsibilities

  • Test mortars and admixtures against QC specifications and document results in lab records.
  • Collect and review certificates of analysis (COAs) for incoming raw materials to confirm approval status.
  • Track lab equipment calibration schedules and flag items due for service.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of lab supplies and chemicals to support daily testing operations.
  • Organize testing areas and sample storage to keep the lab ready for audits and customer visits.
  • Assist the supervisor with arranging sample shipments as needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in QC testing in a manufacturing environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing construction chemicals, concrete admixtures, mortars, grouts, or similar specialty chemical products.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting certificates of analysis (COAs) and QC specification sheets.
  • Experience with lab equipment calibration tracking and documentation.
  • Background in a chemical, building materials, or construction products manufacturing environment.
  • Strong math skills applied to measurement, unit conversion, or test calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for data entry and reporting.
