To thrive as a Release Manager, you need expertise in software development lifecycle management, version control, and release planning, typically supported by a background in computer science or IT. Familiarity with tools like Jenkins, Git, Jira, and CI/CD pipelines is crucial, along with relevant certifications such as ITIL or Agile/Scrum.
