Job description

Job Title:
Mixing Operator, 3rd shift
Summary:
To safely and efficiently perform Mixing/Milling operations utilizing multiple mechanical equipment to pre-form high consistency silicone rubber to desired customer specifications.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure that all safety equipment is readily available and that all guards are in place.
  • Read batch cards/electronic devices for directions, such as proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of extrusion, and any other additional instructions.
  • Operate (safely) multiple Mixers/Mills and related equipment.
  • Update and maintain production records on batches extruded.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner, especially during shift transition.
  • Learn and understand basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in extrusion, packaging, and finishing.
  • Receive and relay vital communications with co-workers concerning daily production strategies.
  • Carry out any other tasks as assigned.
  • Starting pay for this position is $24.55 + $2 shift premium with increases at 90 days, 6 months, and 1 year.

The following are minimum qualifications for this role:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to read and follow production instructions.
  • Perform arithmetic operations quickly and accurately.
  • Demonstrated basic writing skills necessary to complete daily production records.
  • Demonstrated basic verbal communication skills necessary to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English.
  • Able to work independently and multi-task.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) and a criminal background.

The following are preferred for this role:
  • 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing setting
