Job Summary and Qualifications

The Labor Relations Manager assists management at the facility, market and division levels in achieving organizational goals by acting as a reliable and trusted consultant on a wide range of labor relations matters including collective bargaining; the interpretation and administration of collective bargaining agreements; compliance with labor laws; and union avoidance.โ€‹

This will be a fully on-site role splitting time between Las Palmas Medical Center and Del Sol Medical Center.

โ€‹โ€‹โ€‹Major Responsibilities:

  • โ€‹Advise about and manage matters of routine labor relations such as the interpretation and application of collective bargaining agreements; the processing of formal grievances and the arbitration of such grievances; communications with labor unions relating to other disputes and questions that arise between unions and management; responses to union information requests; discipline of bargaining unit members; and compliance with applicable labor laws
  • โ€‹Advise about and manage the response to union organizing.
  • โ€‹Assist with the preparation for, and the conduct of, collective bargaining
  • โ€‹Advise about and manage the preparation for, and the response to, strikes, picketing and other job actions by unions
  • โ€‹Prepare and present appropriate training for facility management on a variety of labor relations topics.

Education & Experience:

  • โ€‹โ€‹Bachelor's degreeโ€‹ requiredโ€‹
  • โ€‹โ€‹Master's degreeโ€‹ in industrial relations or a related discipline preferredโ€‹
  • โ€‹โ€‹5+ years of experience inโ€‹ relevant work experience requiredโ€‹
