Provides case finding, follow-up, and cancer case conference support as directed. This individual is responsible for meeting quality and productivity standards while assuring the confidentiality of all cancer-related health information encountered. Performs case finding duties to identify new cancer patients using pathology reports and disease indices, adhering to regulatory guidelines on reportability. Adds patients to the cancer registry software and identifies analytic and non-analytic cases. Maintains registry follow-up data in computerized patient database using the patient's medical record, local obituaries, or other available database platforms. Updates follow-up dates in the cancer registry software. Coordinates tumor board meetings from call for cases to compliant reporting after the meeting to align with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer standards. Assists with requests from other staff members.

Job Description
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- ODS program - enrolled
Typical Experience:
- 1-year recent relevant experience.
- 1-year oncology experience. Preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to type approximately 50 wpm.
- Computer and Word Processing experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of phone courtesy techniques.
- Ability to be flexible in work habits and environment.
- Communication skills and ability to handle confidential data.
- Knowledge of Anatomy/Physiology and Medical Terminology.

Pay Range is $29.98 to $41.97 / hour
The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
