Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Perform survey assignments that require a solid grasp of basic surveying principles and the exercise of professional judgement.
  • Prepare and certify survey maps, reports, legal descriptions, and plats.
  • Interpret and verify survey results for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and developers to provide necessary survey data.
  • Research historical maps, deeds, and previous surveys to establish property boundaries.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with state and federal guidelines.
  • Assist and mentor survey office personnel in the performance of their duties.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying, or another relevant field preferred but not required
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Indiana Professional Surveyor's license required
Work Experience/Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in land surveying.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and Topcon Survey equipment.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal surveying regulations.
  • Ability to visit project sites if needed
