Job description

Before and After School Program Area Manager: Prince William County / Manassas

AlphaBEST Education: After school is where adventure begins! We aim to engage children and expand their horizons in safe, discovery-filled environments.

We are looking for proven leaders in the before and after-school space to join our team and create an exciting learning environment for our students and team members. You and your team will lead students through exciting daily adventures at multiple school-based sites.

As an AlphaBEST Area Manager, you'll be mentored to do the following:

  • Set the tone for your team, based on our core values: Children First, Have Fun, Value Connection, Drive Innovation, Lead with a "Yes" Mindset, and BEST at what we do. Make it Right.

  • Ensure the success of engaging programs that advance children's physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development throughout your area's sites.

  • Work collaboratively with peers, the Regional Leadership Team, staff, parents, and school administrators to develop AlphaBEST in your area.

  • Respond to and resolve stakeholders' concerns.

  • Hire and develop exceptional, diverse, high-performing team members, including Site Directors and Group Leaders.

  • Evaluate program safety and performance, making corrections as necessary.

  • Build sustainable community partnerships with local business leaders and organizations.

  • Maintain existing customer relationships and build new growth opportunities.

  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive relationships among staff, children, parents, and schools are formed throughout your responsibility.

Pay & Benefits:

  • Salary: $50,000

  • Full-time benefits include health, dental, vision, disability benefits, retirement, life, and paid time off.

Here's what you need:

  • BA or BS in Education, Business Management, or a related field is preferred. A master's degree or higher is a plus.
  • Previous experience in an elementary school setting, school administration, or school-age childcare setting is strongly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Knowledge of state policies and procedures regarding child care regulations.
  • Basic Microsoft Office experience preferred.
