Job description

We are a growing healthcare organization operating within the skilled nursing and long-term care space, managing a multi-site network of facilities dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care, strong clinical outcomes, and operational consistency across all locations. The organization has built a reputation for steady expansion, disciplined operations, and a commitment to maintaining strong relationships with patients, families, staff, and community partners. Backed by experienced leadership, the company continues to scale its footprint while investing heavily in infrastructure, systems, and financial discipline to support long-term growth.

As the organization expands, there is a strong emphasis on strengthening its financial foundation, improving reporting transparency, and ensuring that each facility is operating at optimal financial performance. This includes a focus on labor efficiency, reimbursement optimization, cash flow management, and data-driven decision-making across all sites. The leadership team is highly engaged in operations and is looking to bring in a senior finance leader who can serve as a true strategic partner-someone who understands the complexity of healthcare operations while also being willing to operate in the details when needed.

This is a high-impact executive-level opportunity for an experienced finance professional with deep expertise in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), long-term care, or post-acute healthcare environments. While the role carries a CFO-level scope, we are flexible on title and are open to candidates coming from VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, or other senior healthcare finance leadership backgrounds, as long as they bring strong operational finance experience within this industry. The right individual will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of building financial structure, improving processes, and supporting leadership with clear, actionable insights that directly impact facility performance.

The role is based in Boca Raton, Florida, with flexibility for a hybrid schedule, though candidates must reside in Florida. The organization is targeting a July start date.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations across skilled nursing and long-term care facilities
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning initiatives
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial reporting packages for ownership and executive leadership
  • Analyze facility-level financial performance, identifying opportunities for operational improvement and margin enhancement
  • Monitor reimbursement trends, census performance, labor management, and overall facility profitability
  • Partner closely with operational leadership to improve financial controls and drive strategic decision-making
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance related to healthcare financial reporting and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, lenders, and financial partners
  • Assist with acquisitions, growth initiatives, integrations, and financial due diligence as needed
  • Evaluate systems, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Utilize Sage software extensively for financial management, reporting, and operational oversight
  • Build and mentor finance and accounting teams where applicable
Qualifications
  • Strong financial leadership experience within skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), long-term care, post-acute care, or healthcare operations
  • Previous experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Corporate Controller, Regional Finance Leader, or similar senior-level finance role
  • Deep understanding of healthcare reimbursement models, facility operations, and multi-site financial management
  • High proficiency with Sage software is strongly preferred
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and operational finance
  • Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-moving environment
  • Experience working directly with ownership groups and executive leadership teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • CPA, MBA, or advanced financial credentials are a plus but not required
  • Must be based in Florida
Compensation
  • Compensation range between $200,000 - $350,000 annually, depending on experience and background
  • Hybrid flexibility available
  • High-level executive opportunity with significant growth potential
  • Opportunity to play a key role in the financial direction and continued expansion of a growing healthcare organization
  • Targeted start date: July 2026
