Job Description
The incumbent in this position is responsible for performing fiscal analysis for a full range of financial related functions pertinent to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Information Technology Department including, accounting, budgeting, and others. The individual is responsible for performing budgetary, management and financial analysis functions. The incumbent examines budget estimates; plans and performs economic and/or financial analysis and analyzes reports for the purpose of maintaining expenditure controls in while coordinating with key department personnel to maximize the use of funding. The incumbent reviews and may approve all departmental expenditures and provide assistance to department staff in matters related to budget automated systems. An employee in this class exercises considerable initiative with wide latitude for independent judgment and is expected plan, develop and implement procurement procedures and policies. The IT Financial Analyst will partner with IT Managers and vendor management to drive cost transparency, forecast accuracy, and value realization across software, infrastructure, cloud, and other technology services. The role owns driver-based forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to optimize run costs and fund transformation initiatives. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required. A minimum of five (5) years of related experience working as an Accountant, IT Budget Analyst similar type of function is required. Demonstrated expertise in Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) and Technology Business Management (TBM), driver-based forecasting, and Power BI dashboarding. Prior knowledge of finance, budget and accounting methods, practices and procedures is required; or an equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be considered. Experience in Microsoft Power BI, ServiceNow-ITFM & ITAM, Oracle, ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, COBIT is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
