Scope of Position
The Regional Distribution Center (DC) Manager is a strategic and operational leader responsible for delivering best-in-class site performance. This role oversees end-to-end distribution center operations, ensuring safety, service, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The position drives a high-performance culture by aligning people, processes, and technology to meet business objectives, enhance customer experience, and optimize cost. It plays a critical role in enabling scalable operations and supporting growth.
This role reports to the DC Operations Director and is based on-site at the Groveport, OH facility, supporting a multi-shift operation, with regular presence on the warehouse floor and occasional weekend support as needed.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Site Operations & Performance
  • Own end-to-end site operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, and efficient execution across all warehouse activities.
  • Drive performance through KPI ownership (safety, service, quality, cost, and productivity).
  • Optimize facility layout, workflow design, and labor utilization to maximize throughput and efficiency.

2. Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Champion a proactive safety culture with a zero-incident mindset and full regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, inventory control discipline, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy, reliability, and service consistency.

3. Continuous Improvement & Lean Execution
  • Apply Lean Distribution principles, including:
    • 5S and Standard Work
    • Tiered Daily Management
    • Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions
    • Error-proofing (Poka-Yoke)
    • Kaizen and process optimization initiatives
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive measurable gains in productivity, cost, and service.

4. Financial & Business Management
  • Manage site budgets, expenses, and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Leverage operational and financial data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
  • Align site execution with broader financial targets and growth objectives.

5. Leadership & Talent Development
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across multiple shifts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Coach and mentor leaders to strengthen bench depth and support succession planning.

6. Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Partner with Planning, Customer Service, Manufacturing, and Sales to align demand, capacity, and service expectations.
  • Promote clear communication and transparency to support execution and enhance customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution warehousing
  • Proven ability to lead large teams and influence across organizational levels
  • Demonstrated success in implementing Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making capability
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP Hana

Working Condition
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a distribution facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You will be required to be present on the warehouse floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Groveport, OH location (Monday - Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. The DC operates three shifts: 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.), 2nd shift (Monday - Friday, 2:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.) and weekend shift (Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.).
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
  • Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.
  • Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
