Status

General Summary
The Regional Distribution Manager supervises, plans, and directs the ordering, allocation, and distribution of vehicles to dealers within the assigned region. Coordinates with the National Distribution Department and Port Operations Manager to ensure the timely receipt, processing, and shipment of vehicles. Develops objectives and compiles statistical data to analyze dealer sales and vehicle availability trends. Tracks dealer and regional performance against established objectives and effectively manages the regional fleet of company-owned vehicles. Some travel may be required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1st Priority - 40%
Coordinate the allocation and shipment of vehicles to Kia dealer body.

2nd Priority - 20%

Prepare the monthly production order and ensure timely transmission to National.
3rd Priority - 20%

Develop and maintain the regional sales reporting and analysis system.
4th Priority - 10%

Ensure that the regional fleet of company owned vehicles is administered according to company policy.
5th Priority - 10%
Monitor the status of all dealers on finance hold to prevent allocation and shipment of vehicles.

Personally Performed Duties

  • Determine which vehicles will be included in dealer allocations.
  • Track retail and wholesale performance against objectives on a daily basis.
  • Develop ordering guidelines and forecasts.
  • Provide inventory control reports and analysis.
  • Provide sales velocity reports.
  • Determine which vehicles will be placed into the regional fleet of company owned vehicles.
  • Coordinate the prioritization of vehicle shipments with the Port Operations Manager.
  • Arrange for inspection of vehicles with major damage.
  • Advise the national office when dealers are placed on finance hold.
  • Ensure that all files are properly maintained for the regional distribution department.
  • Frequent travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Job Requirement

Overall Related Experience

8-10 years experience at the field or regional staff level.

Directly Related Experience

Experience with distribution/production ordering systems.

Specialized Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Proficiency with personal computers (Excel, Word).
  • Must possess good communication skills and be able to work effectively with dealership, regional and corporate personnel.
  • High level of independent judgment required to implement programs and make decisions within established policies and procedures.

Pay Range

$108,698.72 - $146,709

Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
