Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilledย Regional Data Strategy Managerย to join our Regional team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining and executing our Data Strategy and you will report directly to the Regional Data Strategy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Strategy

    • Develop a Data Strategy aligned with the Regional Data Strategy
    • Provide support for data-related mergers and acquisitions (M&As)
    • Identify and execute "data" levers
    • Identify partners for data/open innovation initiatives
    • Management of long-term initiatives to enhance the risk evaluation on companies

Innovation Data Management

    • Formulate strategies for make/buy/multisource/dual data sourcing
    • Alternative data acquisition scenarios (cost & drivers)
    • Manage business requirements and projects related to data (ex: multi sourcing) in collaboration with IT & Operations
    • Create a country ย "long term" data evolution roadmap
    • Establish a data quality roadmap and define relevant KPIs

Production "factories" management

    • Metrics & Control of data factories, data production center
    • Control & oversee the various data production processes and workloads
    • Performance, quality and delivery metrics

Data Ecosystem Growth

    • Analyze and identify new potential data sources for the market (both alternative and traditional)
    • Conduct competitive assessments
    • Define data roadmaps for countries based on their specific needs
    • Data quality assessment and maintenance
    • Perform new data significance testing and predictivity assessment

Relationship Management

    • Coordinate and support local EIC (Enhanced Information Center) in managing IPs (Information Provider) relationship and negotiating contract.
    • Act as internal consultant on data-related topics

Business/Sales development and support/Data Consultancy

    • Provide support for exploring new data use cases, such as ESG or new sales "keywords"
    • Assist in data-related tenders and bids
    • Address "level 2" data quality issues
    • Direct support to sales account in trainings and customer visits
    • Support the sales operations team in managing data quality and data coverage issues on ICON/URBA (Business Information platform)
    • Oversee data delivery initiatives
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • 10+ year in BI, Data strategy, Data Management or Data insights-based positions
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Openness and willingness to learn constantly and work in a fast-growing VUCA environment
  • Basic economics/econometric knowledge and ability to develop/analyze business cases
  • Proven record in involvement in data products and data-related service strategy, change management, and business development within the Data-Driven Economy and data-enriched processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proven experience in analysing and exploring complex datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Experience in delivering data-driven products & solutions projects
  • Good knowledge of data analytics platforms and knowledge of some data-management languages & tools
  • Negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Solution-oriented mindset, driven to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
