Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. CE offers customers a wide range of HVAC/R product lines, competitive pricing, best in class customer service and valuable, timesaving services that positions CE as an industry leader. With over 200+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and Canada there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.
Position Overview
The Region President has financial objectives and responsibility for delivering on those objectives, with accountability for the P&L. The President of our South Texas region reports to the General Manager.
The South Texas Region operates in (Texas and Louisiana) The headquarters is in Houston, TX. There is a regionally based leadership team that consists of Sales, HR, Finance, Operations and other functional support roles.
Position Description
The Regional President is a key member of the company's senior executive team. The position's primary responsibilities are for the development and execution of strategies to grow our business, achieve financial targets and provide leadership to our domestic regional employees. The qualified candidate will be successful in identifying wholesale distribution growth opportunities and be responsible for achieving/exceeding planned sales and profitability targets. Additionally, the ability to build strong and positive relationships with existing, new and future customers is essential to support strategic goals.
The Regional President will set a solid leadership example in a high performance culture/environment by developing, coaching and mentoring a senior team of sales and functional leaders, leading/accelerating change as necessary to achieve results. This role is expected to ensure that sales, service, technology and operational methods, approaches, and strategies are formulated and executed to capture revenue growth opportunities, share of market and share of wallet growth. Managing both the financial performance of the region and the performance of our employees is essential to the success of this candidate.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Work closely with the regional team to establish the strategy, goals, and actions necessary to achieve aggressive growth targets.
  • Provide leadership to the organization in a manner that ensures exceptional service, producing market differentiation, and competitive advantage.
  • Develop strategies for increasing market share within existing accounts and markets, while expanding into new selected industry segments and introducing new products.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of logistics and supply chain; enable ongoing process improvements, efficiency improvements and best practice sharing.
  • Develop and implement annual business plans and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual expenses and revenue budgets.
  • Establish clear sales metrics and benchmarks for measuring progress and maintaining focus.
  • Create a customer service focused culture where exceeding customer expectations are the driving force behind processes and policies.
  • Seek continuous improvement in staff capabilities and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to drive innovative thinking
  • Work closely with all other departments to leverage the total capabilities of the company in creating a winning go-to-market strategy and flawless execution.
  • Must embrace data, technology and possess a curiosity for technological advances and their application in our business (including but not limited to strong utilization of business intelligence).
  • Adhering to the Sarbanes-Oxley rules, internal controls policies and company financial policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the human capital industry, the competitive landscape and industry trends; Identify and hire top talent and employ best practices.
