Job description

We are looking for a talented Branch Manager - Segment or Small Geography to join our team in General Management in Spokane, WA.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Drive consistent financial performance by owning P&L across multiple branches, aligning execution to the Annual Operating Plan, and actively managing key metrics like profitability, asset utilization, and balanced scorecards.
  • Scale business growth across the region by leading market analysis, executing sales and marketing plans, and building strong customer relationships and strategic partnerships.
  • Elevate customer experience and loyalty by fostering a service-first culture, improving Net Promoter Scores, and ensuring consistent, high-quality branch operations.
  • Strengthen operational excellence by optimizing branch processes, improving Repair Event Cycle Time, and proactively addressing recurring warranty issues to enhance product and service quality.
  • Build a high-performing leadership pipeline by coaching, developing, and holding Branch Managers accountable through clear goals, work plans, and Individual Development Plans.
  • Ensure safety, compliance, and corporate responsibility by upholding health, safety, and environmental standards while promoting a culture that supports employees and the community.
  • Align regional strategy with enterprise goals by developing a deep understanding of Cummins' business across markets and translating that into locally effective execution.
  • Lead with accountability and collaboration by coordinating across functions, empowering teams, and ensuring day-to-day branch operations consistently deliver on performance, customer satisfaction, and growth objectives.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in required Business Administration, Engineering, or related subject required.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or Sponsor certification preferred 

Experience:

  • Significant relevant experience required, including managerial and budgetary experience.

Additional Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of operational management experience leading multi-segment service operations (Power Generation, On Highway, and Industrial)
  • Demonstrated experience leading large service operations teams, including technicians, supervisors, and support staff
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-segment service environments with competing customer and operational priorities
  • Strong track record of delivering results across key operational metrics (productivity, work in progress, financial performance, and customer satisfaction)
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Service, Parts, and Sales to drive business performance

  • Apply strong financial acumen to interpret P&L, scorecards, and asset metrics-making data-driven decisions that improve profitability and operational efficiency across branches.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams by creating alignment, leveraging diverse strengths, and fostering accountability among Branch Managers and their teams.
  • Use business insight to guide strategy by connecting market trends, regional dynamics, and Cummins' broader goals into actionable plans that drive growth.
  • Communicate with clarity and purpose across all levels-ensuring expectations, priorities, and performance insights are well understood and acted upon.
  • Lead with a customer-first mindset by strengthening relationships, improving service delivery, and ensuring branches consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop talent and drive engagement by coaching leaders, supporting career growth, and creating an environment where employees are motivated and empowered to perform at their best.
  • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and inclusion by influencing positive HSE behaviors, valuing diverse perspectives, and effectively managing conflict when it arises.
