Job description

Ministry/Dept: Outreach
Supervisor: Refugee Ministry Director
Supervises: None
Employment Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 5pm
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Environment: Office
  • Under the direction of the Refugee Ministry Director, provide administrative support to the implementation of key methods, best practices, policies and procedures of the Northwest Community Center.
  • Assist in day-to-day operation of the Northwest Community Center, including purchasing supplies and managing the supplies budget.
  • Greet and provide direction to refugees or their advocates; providing referrals, responding to correspondence as needed.
  • Through both direct participation and administrative support, assist in the implementation of plans for both weekly/recurring and major/seasonal events, meetings, etc.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the Outreach Ministry for large events such as the annual Fall Fun Fest, World Passion Week and Vickery Mission Trip.
  • Assist in planning and preparation for volunteer training and recruitment.
  • Maintain refugee resource distribution database. Update metrics and outcomes for monthly ministry reporting.
  • Assist in coordinating all printed and mailed materials.
  • Assist with other duties, as required.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • Strong propensity for database and reporting functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflict with conviction and love.
  • 1-3 years administrative experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
