Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled FHIR / Interoperability Architect with over 15 years of experience to lead the mapping and integration of consent, sensitivity, provenance, and policy data into FHIR R4 standards. This role is critical in ensuring consistent interoperability across various systems including Epic, REDCap, OnBase, HIMS, and other source systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of FHIR standards and have a proven track record in technical architecture and system integration.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of FHIR R4 standards for data mapping and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless interoperability between Epic, REDCap, OnBase, HIMS, and other systems.
  • Analyze and document consent, sensitivity, provenance, and policy data requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical architecture documentation and integration workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during implementation phases.
  • Conduct regular assessments of interoperability solutions and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in FHIR standards and interoperability.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for stakeholders on FHIR standards and best practices.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Proven experience with Open Epic and its integration capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of FHIR R4 standards and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of data mapping and integration processes.
  • Experience with interoperability frameworks and standards.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with REDCap, OnBase, and HIMS systems.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data privacy regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of cloud based integration solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master‿s degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in technical architecture, with a focus on interoperability and data integration.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in a healthcare environment.
  • Relevant certifications in FHIR or interoperability frameworks are a plus.
