If so, our client is seeking an IT Technical Lead who is energized by supporting staff, stewarding critical infrastructure, and ensuring technology empowers their ministry across multiple sites. In this role, you’ll be the go-to technical expert—coordinating projects, managing core systems, and providing hands-on support that keeps operations reliable and connected.


The IT Technical Lead coordinates projects and support activities, assists with the management of core infrastructure, and provides hands-on support to end-users to ensure reliable technology operation and clear communication with all departments across multiple sites under the direction of the IT Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Infrastructure & Technical Operations


• Assist with hardware infrastructure management, maintenance, and lifecycle activities in consultation with the IT Director.

• Communicate status updates, timelines, and impacts to staff.

• Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, knowledge base, and inventories.

• Proactively inform the IT Director of issues, specifically including systemic, capacity, or recurring operational concerns and MSP SLA performance.


Operational & Field support


• Provide advanced on-site technical support for escalated issues and during high volume periods or escalate appropriately when necessary.

• Provide hands-on support for remote MSP troubleshooting tasks.

• Provide specialized support. (e.g., fundraiser call-center setup, A/V equipment setup and configuration, two-way radio management and repair.)

• Schedule and participate in on-call rotation, event support, and after-hours support.

• Support onboarding and technical needs of seasonal staff during summer months.


Additional Duties


• Assist with event setups, teardowns, and all-hands tasks as needed

• Assist with cabling, installs, and field work.

Requirements:


QUALIFICATIONS


• Agreement with the organizations' Statement of Faith.

• Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience or Associate's degree with 2+ years of hands-on IT support or advanced technical support experience required.

• Relevant certifications preferred, including Cisco, CompTIA, Google, Microsoft

• Understanding of business IT infrastructure, including networking, managed services, and multi-platform OS management.

• Experience leading projects and supporting end-users preferred.

• Experience in nonprofit, broadcast, camp, or education environments a plus.

• Experience interacting with vendors or service providers.

• Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and leadership potential.

• Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and consistent documentation habits.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset and clear communication.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and schedules.

Physical demands and Work Environment


This position will require:


• A commitment to the mission and core values of River Valley Ranch (RVR) and BRIGHT-FM / Brighter Media Group.

• Multiple work locations per week, including our main financial offices in Hunt Valley, MD, at the BRIGHT-FM broadcast studios in Arbutus, MD, and at River Valley Ranch in Manchester, MD.

• Working knowledge of industry and cybersecurity best practices through ongoing learning.

• Occasional hands-on work, requiring the use of ladders, tools, and lifting.

• Support for on-site installations, repairs, and events.

• Collaborative, flexible teamwork during high-volume periods, including summer season and event setups and teardowns.
