Red Roof is a leader in the economy hotel market with both franchised and corporate-owned properties. The primary goal at Red Roof is to provide customers a savings without sacrificing comfort. Most recently, Red Roof made keeping in touch while traveling that much easier with their Free Communication. Guests can take advantage of free Wi-Fi, local and long distance calls within the continental U.S., and up to 10 fax pages sent within the continental U.S. Additionally, the brand stands behind their Hassle-Free Guarantee: should a guest have a concern during their stay, simply contact the front desk and allow them to address and solve the problem. If they cannot resolve your concern prior to your departure, they don't expect you to pay for that night. Job Description

The Housekeeping Guest Service Representative (GSR) is responsible for maintain a positive guest experience by preparing clean and comfortable rooms within a given timeframe and in accordance with Red Roof Inns' brand standards. This position is critical to ensure quality service to our guests and upholding our Red Roof Inn Hassle Free Guarantee, while working with members of the hotel team, maintaining room quality as well as safety and security of the hotel.

Position Responsibilities

Maintain positive guest interactions and provide special services for guests
upon request

Clean room to Red Roof Inn's set expectations (i.e. stripping guest rooms of
terry and linen, changing and making beds, cleaning bathroom and vanity areas,
vacuuming and dusting)

Communicate with front desk staff daily room information, maintenance cards,
lost and found items and any discrepancies between stayovers and checkouts

Inspect room fixtures and accessories for proper location, operation and
function; reporting to maintenance and front desk any concerns

Restock cart daily and keep cart and storage areas neat and clean

Set heating/cooling equipment on proper setting

Performing self room inspections and accepting feedback from room quality
inspections performed by inn management and trained team members

Comply with all Red Roof Inn and OSHA standards related to safety and security

Cross train in laundry, maintenance, and/or front desk job functions, if
possible

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1-2 years in a previous customer service position

Some administrative duties required (timekeeping system, rooms' cleaned reports,
etc.)

Must maintain professional appearance in Red Roof Inn provided uniform with
consistently friendly attitude towards guests and staff

Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another and work
with minimal supervision

Frequent lifting and bending required
