Job Description
This position will be responsible for oversight of a housekeeping team, maintenance janitorial work assignments, room inspections and special cleaning projects. Candidates must have an eye for detail and be self motivated.
This position will also prepare clean and comfortable rooms for guests and work in cooperation with other inn personnel to ensure the quality of service for Red Roof Inns' guests is in accordance with Red Roof Inns' standards and 100% guest satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities
• Maintain safety and security
• Ensure each guestroom properly cleaned/prepared by meeting requirements of RRI's guestroom inspection
• Complete daily work within budgeted work time
• Clean rooms (following procedures established by Red Roof Inns).
• Complete and inspect rooms in accordance with requirements described in the Housekeeping Handbook
• Provide inn management with ideas and concerns
• Communicate with staff and prepare staff schedules
• Check fixtures and television for proper operation
• Set heating/cooling equipment on proper setting
• Check and clean outside the room
• Provide special services for guests as requested
• Complete and submit information on Rooms Cleaned Report
• Complete and submit maintenance cards, as needed, to the front desk
• Call in any discrepancies between stayovers and checkouts (with regard to Rooms Cleaned Report)
• Call in clean rooms to the front desk
• Turn in room keys at front desk
• Restock cart and keep cart and storage rooms neat and clean
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule--weekends and holidays especially
• Previous supervisory skills strongly preferred
• Good communication skills required
• Must have some computer knowledge to check rooms/make housekeeping
sheets/check out of order rooms
• Ability to cross train in laundry and clean rooms when necessary
• Comply with good grooming and dress standards
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish/French) preferred but not required
