Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Beverage South (GA/SC) is seeking a dependable, energetic Red Bull Merchandiser to support its Red Bull dedicated sales team from the West Columbia, South Carolina location. This position will have primary responsibility for the sales, service, merchandising, and delivery of Red Bull products to all assigned University of South Carolina accounts a minimum of two days per week, with additional campus service as business needs require. During the remaining workweek, the position will provide flexible sales and market support, including equipment replacement, new-account setup, retail resets, display execution, merchandising support, and vacation-route coverage. The ideal candidate works safely, moves with urgency, communicates effectively, takes ownership of assigned accounts, and builds strong relationships with customers and internal team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate daily with the Red Bull Brand Manager and dedicated sales team to review University of South Carolina account needs, route priorities, service requirements, promotional activity, equipment needs, and market-support assignments.
  • Manage the sales, service, delivery, and merchandising of Red Bull products to all assigned University of South Carolina accounts a minimum of two days per week, and more frequently when business needs require.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within University of South Carolina accounts; identify sales opportunities, maintain appropriate inventory levels, support product availability, and execute account-specific service expectations.
  • Deliver and merchandise Red Bull products in assigned accounts, including stocking shelves, coolers, cold vaults, and other designated selling spaces according to approved planograms, account standards, and brand guidelines.
  • Rotate all products using first-in, first-out practices; inspect dates and packaging condition; and promptly address damaged, expired, or out-of-code product.
  • During non-campus route days, provide sales support across the market by replacing or relocating Red Bull equipment, setting up new accounts, conducting retail resets, and supporting displays, promotions, and brand initiatives.
  • Provide vacation-route and temporary route coverage as assigned, including sales, ordering, delivery, merchandising, customer service, and required reporting responsibilities for the covered route.
  • Build, maintain, relocate, and remove temporary and permanent displays; ensure all displays and equipment are clean, stable, properly signed, safely positioned, and aligned with Red Bull merchandising standards.
  • Replenish selling locations from back stock, organize account storage areas when needed, and communicate out-of-stocks, inventory concerns, competitive activity, equipment issues, display opportunities, and account needs to the appropriate manager or sales representative.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of point-of-sale materials, display components, equipment, tools, and other sales-support supplies assigned to the position.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and on time, including sales orders, delivery documentation, photos, surveys, equipment records, and mobile-app reporting as required.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, retailer policies, food and beverage handling expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other sales, delivery, merchandising, equipment, and market-support duties as assigned.

COMPANY VEHICLE AND DRIVING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with the Beverage South Fleet Safety Manual, company policies, and all applicable DOT and traffic regulations.
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Immediately report all company-vehicle and personal-vehicle accidents occurring during company business in accordance with Beverage South accident-reporting procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record are required due to regular operation of company vehicles and delivery responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned University of South Carolina accounts, and remain responsive to daily direction from the Brand Manager and dedicated sales team.
  • Ability to perform sales, delivery, merchandising, equipment-support, and route-coverage responsibilities while adapting to changing market priorities.
  • Prior sales, merchandising, retail, delivery, grocery, route-sales, or beverage-industry experience is preferred.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to respond to changing market priorities.

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and repetitive product handling throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely use carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, and other approved merchandising equipment after required training.
  • Ability to work in retail sales areas, stockrooms, coolers, loading areas, and outdoor conditions as business needs require.
  • Ability to maintain productivity and attention to detail in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Successful sales, service, delivery, and execution across assigned University of South Carolina accounts.
  • Completion of assigned campus service days, market-support priorities, vacation-route coverage, and other route responsibilities.
  • Sales growth, product availability, inventory accuracy, product rotation, freshness, package quality, and overall quality assurance.
  • Accuracy of shelf, cooler, planogram, display, equipment, and point-of-sale execution.
  • Safe work practices, vehicle inspections, delivery procedures, and compliance with company policies.
  • Timely communication, reporting, follow-through, and professional customer relationships across assigned accounts and support assignments.
