Duties/Responsibilities

Grinding and drying of soil. Rotating racks of soil from the block building and conducting quality checks of soil set.

Assist in sample receiving, making up soil sets for routine and special analysis. Opening and organizing soil samples, preparing the laboratory quality check soil, and communicate with county offices to clarify submission issues.

Participate in various aspects of soil, plant, and water sample preparation, processing, and analysis, as needed.

Help in maintaining the cleanliness of the lab area and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

This is technical work in performing routine as well as non-standardized laboratory testing. Assist with soil sample organization, sample grinding, sieving, weighing, cleaning glassware, and other miscellaneous duties.
