Summary: Serves as member of the program's management team. The program supervisor is responsible for overseeing the delivery of person-centered, recovery-oriented services within an outpatient Personalized Recovery Oriented Services (PROS) program. They are responsible for daily operations, staff supervision, compliance and program performance. This role provides clinical and administrative supervision to multidisciplinary staff, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and promotes a culture of recovery, empowerment, and community integration for individuals with serious mental illness.
§ Oversees and manages the delivery of mental health services and the daily operations of PROS and Front Porch Program
§ Oversees the Employment Initiative in collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health Services
§ Provides weekly task and clinical supervision to Front Porch staff and the employment specialists in the PROS program while supporting staff development
§ Provides managerial coverage for the program in the absence of and in addition to the Director of Behavioral Health Services.
§ Monitors and reviews assessments, treatment plans, discharge plans to ensure completion and compliance with regulatory standards
§ Creates quarterly PROS program schedule to meet the needs of the PROS community
§ Addresses programmatic challenges including coverage needs in collaboration with the Director of Behavioral Health Services
§ Updates and maintain client reporting information system, CAIRS, to ensure accuracy and compliance
§ Completes incident, death and all other required reports, as warranted
§ Co-leads leading daily team meetings
§ Ensures service delivery aligns with PROS model standards and applicable state regulations
§ Completes performance evaluations and provides necessary feedback regarding performance issues; developing plans for improvement when needed.
§ Collaborates closely with the Director of Behavioral Health Services to improve service delivery, workflows, and outcomes
§ Ensures service delivery aligns with PROS model standards and applicable state regulations
§ Schedules and performs initial intake screenings to assess participant needs, identify appropriate services and evaluate/assess for admission into the PROS program.
§ Engages and monitors applicants throughout the pre-admission phase of program participation, including assessing initial recovery goals, assigning groups, answering questions, and providing education as to the program purpose and mission.
§ Completes intake/admission process with new participants, including completion of comprehensive clinical and risk assessments and provision of psychiatric diagnoses when warranted.
§ Formulates admission recommendations for team discussion and presents cases at the weekly Intake Review meeting.
§ Processes program admissions and communicates case assignments to program staff.
§ Recruits referrals for program services while maintaining a strong ongoing relationship with referral sources throughout the community.
§ Embraces team approach, attending and participating in all staff meetings and mentoring new staff.
§ Attends all required interdisciplinary and team conferences and special meetings both in and outside of the agency
§ May carry a small caseload if necessary
§ May cover program groups when necessary
§ Models appropriate/acceptable social and work skills
§ Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
• Must be a licensed Psychologist-Ph.D., LCSW or LMHC plus minimum 3 year's experience in a mental health or rehabilitative setting serving consumers with mental health disability with 2 years of experience in supervisory oversight of staff
• Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of evidenced-based practices
• Strong leadership in the Mental Health Field and organizational skills
• Knowledge of applicable program standards and regulations
Communications skills:
Frequent contact with internal & external employees of all levels, and other agencies serving the disabled at large; and other federally funded agencies; contact with consumers, advocates
Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of all Microsoft programs, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Work Environment:
Travel to and from designated internal and external facilities. Alternate training sites and conferences, as defined by agency.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write comprehensive reports and documentation. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, Excel and internet software.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Must have experience in supervising mental health professionals.
