  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the firm's summer associate program including orientation, training, social events, evaluations, and program assessment.

  • Attend summer associate events -- or ensure a member of the recruiting team attends the events -- to ensure events are successful and the recruiting team is represented.

  • Facilitate the work of the office hiring committees, including managing meetings, coordinating candidate evaluations, and ensuring timely decision-making.

  • Partner closely with attorneys, office administrators, and colleagues in the marketing, professional development, inclusion, and HR departments to deliver a highly effective recruiting and candidate experience.

  • Supervise and mentor the Law Student Recruiting Coordinator, establishing priorities, workflows, and development opportunities while ensuring accurate and efficient recruiting operations.

  • Analyze recruiting metrics, hiring trends, budget performance, and pipeline data to provide recommendations that strengthen law student recruiting outcomes, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term growth objectives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree, HR certification, or other relevant professional credential is a plus.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of recruiting experience within a law firm, legal organization, or law school career services office; a combination of these experiences is highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience managing law student recruiting programs and summer associate programs at a regional, national, or AmLaw law firm.

  • Strong knowledge of law student recruiting best practices, law school hiring timelines, candidate assessment methodologies, and attorney hiring committee processes.

  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with partners, hiring committee members, cross-functional business professionals, law school administrators, and law student candidates.

  • Experience supervising recruiting staff and successfully managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Exceptional organizational, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

  • Experience with viRecruit, Flo Recruit, Workday, and Microsoft Office applications strongly preferred; experience with recruiting analytics, applicant tracking systems, and event management platforms is also desirable.
