This position is hybrid. 3 days/week in the Wyandotte, MI office is expected.
Job Purpose:
The Recruiter is responsible for full life-cycle sourcing, recruiting, and placement of qualified drivers to fill open orders for TransForce customers. The Recruiter utilizes various internal and external sources to help customers find the best candidates to meet their needs and ensure ongoing customer success. The Recruiter is responsible for delivering on Regional objectives contributing to the company's success.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy: Carry out responsibilities that lead to achievement of company objectives, to deliver sustainable profitability and revenue growth.
  • Ensure sustained growth of Driver Count.
  • Provide best-in-class safety and compliance.
  • Develop strategy for onboarding and retaining drivers.
  • Foster an environment of being the employer of choice for the highest quality drivers in the industry.
  • Support a learning culture that experiments using the objectives and key results (OKR) process to implement the rapid propagation of best practices from branch to branch and region- wide.
  • Work collaboratively with varying levels of TransForce team members and customer resources in a way that enables them to perform at the top of their potential.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Sourcing of quality applications in quantities which allow TransForce to meet company hiring goals.
  • Seek local sources for high quality applicants at a competitive cost.
  • Collaborate with Sales partners and Market Manager to establish competitive pay rates.
  • Build relationships within local communities to make the TransForce brand a recognizable leader for short and long-term driving positions.
  • Drive prompt collaboration with team members to achieve company goals. Prioritize complete applications and continue to sell the candidate on Employment Solutions.
  • Generate reports and maintain recruiting and candidate data in all company systems.
  • Knowledge of all position and customer details to match the right candidate to jobs.

Interview and sell drivers on Employment Solutions.
  • Explain the many benefits of working for TransForce.
  • Discuss the Open Orders with the candidate with a focus on those that most align with the candidate's needs.
  • Collaborate with Driver Hiring Specialist for timely completion of full approval to work.
  • Collaborate with Market Manager to ensure proper placement and job fit.

Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure all levels of involvement in the retention of our driver.
  • Maintain daily contact with drivers while "in processing" and thereafter (check calls) to focus on those at high risk for turnover.
  • Utilize current market data and escalate concerns to leadership (Market Manager (MM) and RRM) to secure and maintain competitive pay rates.

Communicate professionally verbally and in writing, both internally and externally to instill trust and confidence in TransForce.
  • Build relationships with customers, candidates, and TF team members.
  • Utilize exceptional interpersonal communication skills to always present TransForce in a positive light and promote teamwork and collaboration.

Requirements
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Work experience may be substituted for education.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2 years of successful recruiting experience.
  • Sales or customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of general recruiting fundamentals.
  • General knowledge of applicable employment and transportation regulations.
  • Requires superior relationship building skills, strong communications, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member in a fast- paced, high-volume environment.
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft Office and web-based software.
