Openings: 1 Full-Time Permanent Position (1.0 FTE) Days/Evenings/Weekends

Hourly Rate: $21.92 – $25.80

What You'll Do

As a Recreation Aide, you'll help create a vibrant and engaging environment that supports the joy, dignity, and well-being of our residents:

  • Plan and deliver meaningful programs that promote physical, mental, social, and emotional wellness.
  • Support residents in participating in activities that reflect their interests, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Encourage engagement through one-on-one visits, small groups, and larger events.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, volunteers, and team members to build an inclusive, home-like atmosphere.
  • Contribute to program evaluation and continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure a safe environment by following all health and safety practices.
  • Assist with transporting residents to and from programs and outings, as needed.

What You Bring

  • Experience working in the field of recreation of activity programming with seniors and/or individuals with dementia (minimum 1 year)
  • Certificate or diploma in Recreation or Therapeutic Recreation is an asset but not required.
  • A creative, compassionate, and inclusive approach to program delivery.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • A commitment to fostering wellness, dignity, and joy in the lives of others.
