Job description

**PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE**
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Network Administrator is responsible for the overall uptime of the Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS) IT infrastructure, including servers, peripherals, SANs, and networking equipment. Performs maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting on all core network hardware and software.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for error recovery, backup procedures, and task management
  2. Maintains active directory: management, add/move/delete/change employees.
  3. Develops group policies as required.
  4. Performs routine and preventative maintenance.
  5. Oversees the continuous operation of computer hardware, recognizing equipment malfunctions and/or failure; perform general equipment maintenance and routines to correct/prevent certain malfunctions and failures in computer hardware.
  6. Schedules downtime for server maintenance, upgrades, and configurations.
  7. Maintains server and software security patches, hotfixes and service packs.
  8. Performs training and instruction for users and departments.
  9. Develops written documentation for users on new systems and system features.
  10. Develops written documentation on policies and procedures for departmental staff.
  11. Maintains up-to-date and accurate records and files.
  12. Recommends the upgrading of hardware and software based on age, advancements in technology, future expandability, etc.
  13. Performs hardware upgrades and installations.
  14. Assists in development, revision and testing of disaster recovery plans.
  15. Assists in escalations from Help Desk personnel.
  16. Troubleshoots issues in Active Directory, Office 365, TPC/IP or other disciplines as required.
  17. Stays updated with the latest technologies and industry trends in the information technology field.
  18. May require travel between site locations on an as needed basis.
  19. Upholds and promotes the value and integrity of the Seneca Nation Health System's mission statement.
  20. Provides care through a trauma-informed lens by incorporating key principles of both physical and psychological environment safety, trustworthiness and transparency, collaboration of decision-making during treatment plan developments, empowerment of patients by recognizing and building upon individual strengths, as well as recognizing and respecting the diversity of cultural backgrounds and sensitivity.
  21. Attends all mandatory staff meetings, trainings and in-services.
  22. Follows all department, SNHS, and Seneca Nation policies.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills required with all levels of staff from Executive to front line personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field required.
  • Three years' experience in systems and network management required.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience in a large hospital, academic medical center, outpatient health care setting, or Indian Health Service (IHS)/tribal health, preferred.
  • Experience with: PC hardware, operations, characteristics and configuration settings; general computer network operating systems and architecture; internet and intranet technologies; telephony systems and programming; Microsoft Server 2016+; Active Directory; Office 365 Exchange, Entra ID; MS SQL Server; Cisco and Extreme network Switches; Meraki APs; and Webex, preferred.
