Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Record VO,lip-sync dialogue and songs with or without video reference according to client specifications

  • Record talent in studio and remotely

  • Flag any recording issues during sessions to avoid pickups and/or retakes

  • Edit audio filesquicklyto removedropoutnoise and irregularities

  • Ensure dialogue lip sync and timing

  • Report any issues with source material promptly for quick replacement(audio/videodrop-outs, audio glitches, distortions, sync problems, missing lines and all the other errors spotted)

  • Problemsolveany software or technical errors that may arise in remote recording

  • Work with scheduler and directors tomaintainestablished production schedule

  • Remain sensitive to client needs and adjust to new project specifications and deadlines

  • Monitor quality of allaudio deliverablestomaintainconsistency

  • Back up all projects to the Dubbing driveon a daily basis

  • Analyze and resolve work problems proactively when possible

  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product, if needed

  • Verify that all special production instructions have been followed prior to delivery

  • Confer with department supervisor todetermineprogress of work and toprovideinformation on changes affecting efficiency and quality of production

  • Must work overtime and weekends when needed

Essentialqualifications:

  • Familiarity withrecording ADR,Dubbingor Animation.

  • FamiliarityinMacenvironmentwithProToolsaudio software and hardware, including peripheral equipmentsuch as compressors, microphones andAD Converters, knowledge ofSessionLinkor Source Connect remote recording.

  • Familiarity withaudio and session formats andspecifications (.wav, .mp3, .ptx, .omf,...)

  • General knowledge of studio recording techniquesboth in studio and remotely

  • Ability toidentifyand solve technical problems with equipment when possible

Hourly rate range: $28-$33
