Mass Production Baker
Reports to: SofaKing Lead
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Department: SofaKing
Location: Tempe, AZ (Starting Location) | I-17 & Happy Valley (Moving Soon)
Pay Range: $16.00 per hour
Position Summary:
The Mass Production Baker supports large-scale production of cannabis-infused baked goods, chocolates, and confections at Mint Cannabis. This role is responsible for preparing, baking, and finishing products according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality at all times. The position requires precision, efficiency, and strong teamwork in a high-volume kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Mix, bake, portion, and prepare large-batch bakery products, chocolates, and infused confections.
  • Follow established recipes and batch records with accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain quality control throughout production, including mixing, baking, cooling, and packaging.
  • Ensure compliance with cannabis dosing, food safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Track and manage inventory of raw materials and baking supplies.
  • Document all production activities, including weights, yields, and labeling.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, and presentation of finished products.
  • Support daily production goals and contribute to continuous process improvements.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas in accordance with SOPs.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of baking or production kitchen experience; high-volume or mass production preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to follow recipes, production schedules, and compliance requirements.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive work ethic.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain a Facility Agent Card from the State.

Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Culinary or baking certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:
  • Production kitchen environment with exposure to noise, heat, and food-grade equipment.
  • Direct exposure to cannabis plant material and infused products.
  • PPE may be required.
