Job Description

MasterMold, LLC, located in Johnson Creek, WI, is an established composite molder, painter and assembler of many OEM products across a diverse set of industries. We have a thrilling opportunity for the right candidate to take the next step in their accounting career.  We are currently seeking an Senior Cost Accountant to oversee the Accounting Department and financial accounting for the company. 
The general responsibilities of the Senior Cost Accountant will fall into the categories as follows:
 

  • Cost Accounting - help implement processes and procedures
  • Review general ledger and financial statements for accuracy
  • Complete the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, overhead allocations, and creating the financial statements as well as monthly budgets, etc.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly inventory reconciliation
  • Analyze actual manufacturing costs and provide explanations of applicable variances
  • Assist the Executive VP & CEO with other assignments and ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5+ years' experience of cost accounting for manufacturing
  • Strong accounting, quantitative, and analytical skills and ability to apply those skills within the role
  • Ability to identify issues and take initiative for process improvement and problem resolution
  • Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-oriented focus
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Sage/MAS90
