Job description

Longview Autoplex is seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Recon Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position with the opportunity for individual growth and development. As a Recon Technician, you will be responsible for performing automotive repair and maintenance services on our pre-owned vehicles to ensure they are in top condition and meet our quality standards.

Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or repair needs
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine issues on a variety of pre-owned vehicles
- Complete necessary maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
- Perform body, paint, and interior repairs as needed
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that all vehicles meet our quality standards and are ready for sale
- Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the dealership
- Continuously improve your skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably in a dealership setting
- Strong knowledge of various vehicle systems, including mechanical, electrical, and engine
- Experience with body, paint, and interior repairs on a variety of makes and models
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
