Used Car Traffic Manager

Gwinnett Place Nissan is seeking a high-level operational leader to help drive and transform one of the fastest-growing Nissan dealerships in the Atlanta market. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, process-driven professional to take ownership of our pre-owned inventory operations, accelerate inventory turn, improve profitability, and play a direct role in the continued growth of our dealership — all without the pressure of desking deals or negotiating directly with customers.

This role offers a true daytime schedule, strong work-life balance, and no Sundays, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced automotive professional looking to stay in the business while focusing on operational excellence, inventory management, and process execution.

Position Overview

The Used Car Traffic Manager plays a critical role in driving used vehicle profitability, vehicle acquistions, inventory turn, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven, analytically minded, and capable of operating in a fast-paced dealership environment while maintaining urgency and accountability across all areas of used vehicle operations.

This role is heavily focused on inventory flow management, speed-to-market execution, and maximizing return on inventory investment.

  • Conduct regular inventory reviews to identify aged units, stalled recon vehicles, and operational bottlenecks.
  • Coordinating with Used Car Vendors

  • Ensure all used inventory is professionally merchandised and listed online quickly and accurately.
  • Manage vehicle descriptions, pricing accuracy, equipment details, and photo quality across all digital platforms including dealership website and third-party listing sites.
  • Maintain high standards for vehicle presentation to maximize lead generation and conversion opportunities.
  • Ensure all vehicles are online and market-ready within established timeframe expectations.
Inventory Acquisition & Appraisal Support
  • Assist in sourcing quality pre-owned inventory through auctions, trade-ins, service drive appraisals, street purchases, and other acquisition channels.
  • Support appraisal and inventory acquisition efforts to maintain the proper inventory mix and stocking levels.
  • Monitor local market trends, supply conditions, and consumer demand to assist with strategic inventory decisions.
Pricing & Market Analysis
  • Analyze market data, competitor pricing, and inventory performance to support pricing strategy and inventory turn objectives.
  • Adjust pricing recommendations based on live market conditions and inventory aging.
  • Monitor vehicle performance metrics to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive market positioning.
Inventory Control & Operational Accountability
  • Maintain 100% accuracy and compliance within inventory management systems and dealership software platforms.
  • Track and report key inventory metrics including recon status, aging inventory, turn rate, and online merchandising completion.
  • Ensure dealership processes are consistently followed throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
  • Manage wholesale inventory disposition for aged or non-retail units.

Qualifications
  • Previous automotive inventory management, used vehicle operations, and service/reconditioning experience is a must.
  • Strong understanding of used vehicle market trends, pricing strategy, and reconditioning processes.
  • Experience with inventory management systems, CRM tools, and digital merchandising platforms.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume dealership environment.
