Dental Receptionist


Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service. If you have experience in dental reception, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding patient care, we would love to hear from you.


Duties:

- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment

- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our office's scheduling system Open Dental- experience required

- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with insurance-related inquiries

- Collect and process patient payments

- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information

- Assist with dental billing and coding as needed (minimal - we have a third party biller)

- Coordinate referrals to specialists as required

- Manage the front desk area, including keeping it clean and organized


Skills:

- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist is required (medical office experience also considered)

- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures

- Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) & Open Dental

- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Spanish speaking preferred

- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on patient satisfaction

- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
