JOB TITLE: Receptionist
REPORTS TO: Campus Principal
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Nonexempt
PAY GRADE: Para 3
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Receptionist will assist in providing information and direction to staff, students, parents and public.
All employees of SISD are expected to act with integrity, support and demonstrate our core values, communicate in a clear and respectful manner and seek to continuously improve self-performance and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • High school graduate or GED from an accredited institution
Preferred:
  • One+ years job related experience
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
  • Ability to work well with children
  • Ability to communicate effectively
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Operate telecommunication system to screen calls, transfer calls, respond to inquiries and/or take messages
  • Evaluate situations/questions and take appropriate action or direct to appropriate personnel for solution
  • Process documents/materials and disseminate to appropriate parties
  • Receive and greet visitors, obtain names and nature of business and direct to appropriate personnel
  • Prepare and maintain records as required
  • Participate in staff development and faculty meetings as assigned
  • Distribute and post mark mail
  • Keep track of all deliveries from UPS and FedEx
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

WORKING/SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
The usual and customary methods of performing this job require the following:
Job may require prolonged periods of time sitting, moderate standing, stooping, bending, reaching and repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Ability to maintain emotional control under stress. May require some lifting no more than 10lbs. Overtime is required as necessary
