TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is a physician-owned inpatient and outpatient surgical facility committed to delivering exceptional care in a patient-focused environment. With 15 inpatient beds and a 24/7 Emergency Room, we offer a range of surgical services, including orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, GI, gynecology, ophthalmology, pain management, plastic surgery, podiatry, and urology. Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and welcoming Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. This individual will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors and play a key role in supporting daily front office operations. The ideal candidate is professional, courteous, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities Include

  • Warmly greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in person and over the phone
  • Answer multi-line phone systems and route calls or take messages appropriately
  • Check in patients, verify insurance, and collect necessary identification and paperwork
  • Accurately enter patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Collect co-pays and other payments, provide receipts, and reconcile end-of-day reports
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits
  • Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception and lobby area
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative staff to support workflow
