Qualifications:ย 

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to work effectively and positively with others
  • Excellent organization, efficiency, and communication skills
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining records through computer programs involving word processing, databases, presentation/multi-media and spreadsheets.
  • Proficient keyboarding and word processing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of electronic media
  • Ability to operate various types of office equipment
  • Ability to generate correspondence accurately and independently
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Job Goal:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  To assure the smooth and efficient operations of the ESC central office in order to serve the school districts and public of Fairfield County.
Performance Responsibilities:
ย 









  1. Establish, maintain, and monitor accurate, neat and efficient electronic and manual filing systems.
  2. Prepare/compose/design letters, memoranda, reports, bulletins, handbooks, agendas, brochures, Board information, spreadsheets, data, vacancy notices, requisitions, and various other correspondence.
  3. Sort information for efficient distribution to appropriate recipients.
  4. Receive and handle telephone calls and messages.
  5. Greet and receive visitors.
  6. Schedule, conduct and report background checks/fingerprints.
  7. Handle routine correspondence independently.
  8. Input information into and retrieve information from computer, applications and software.
  9. Be proficient in using all applications/software used in central office including but not limited to: ASEOP, Applitrack, G-Suite, Background Check software, ODE licensing system.
  10. Arrange conferences, meetings, and room reservations for central office staff as requested.
  11. Manage the process to reserve meeting space at the central office and lead securing off-site space for meetings and/or conferences as needed through the county FMX system and other partners.
  12. Promote excellent public relations by personal appearance, appropriate attire, attitude, and conversation.
  13. Provides assistance to other ESC staff.
  14. Attend meetings and in-services as required for personal and professional development.
  15. Handle confidential information with complete security.
  16. Embodies high ethical standards and integrity.ย  Accepts responsibility for decisions and conduct.
  17. Complies with policies and procedures established by the Fairfield County ESC.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent/Designee.
