Job description

Job Title: Receptionist Location: Rockville, MD Type: 1+ Month Contract Compensation: $25-$30/hour Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: M-F 8:00-5:00

Overview Biopharmaceutical Company seeking a Receptionist for a short term contract in Rockville, MD.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily front desk and reception operations, including call management, visitor greeting, reception area upkeep, and adherence to visitor access procedures.
  • Manage visitor check-in, badges, deliveries, taxi vouchers, loaner badges, mail, shipping, office supplies, and FedEx account activity.
  • Coordinate reception coverage, conference room scheduling, transportation requests, office support services, and employee care deliveries in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Provide administrative support for procurement (purchase requisitions), service requests, office cost tracking, company communications, emergency preparedness, and other operational needs while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or higher (HS or BS).
  • 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Proven reliability and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage electronic files logically and maintain a professional, courteous manner in person and over the phone.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
