Job description

At Sanity.io, we're building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Our AI Content Operating System gives teams the freedom to model, create, and automate content the way their business works, accelerating digital development and supercharging content operations efficiency. Companies like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, COMPLEX, Nordstrom, and Morningbrew are using Sanity to power and automate their content operations.
Sanity is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to deliver high-impact analysis that empowers our Revenue, Marketing, and Finance teams to make confident, data-driven decisions every day. In this role, you will dig deep into complex datasets, uncover trends, and translate findings into clear, actionable insights that directly influence business strategy and execution. You'll partner closely with stakeholders across GTM and Finance functions, serving as a trusted analytical resource while contributing to a culture of data excellence within our centralized Data & Analytics organization.
What you would do:
  • Partner with Revenue, Marketing, and Finance stakeholders to understand business needs, define analytical requirements, and deliver insights that drive decision-making across the organization.
  • Own the development and maintenance of dashboards and self-service analytics that give stakeholders clear, trusted visibility into business performance.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering to ensure data quality, consistency, and documentation across datasets
  • Define and maintain key metrics and business logic in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on a single source of truth.
  • Communicate findings clearly and persuasively to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, influencing strategic decisions with data-backed recommendations.
  • Manage a mix of ad-hoc and planned analytical work, balancing competing priorities while maintaining clear communication on timelines and progress.
  • Continuously push the quality of analytical workflows, data models, and reporting standards, contributing to a culture of rigor and excellence within the broader Data & Analytics organization.
About you:
  • Based in San Francisco, the team comes into the SF office 2-3 times a week
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a highly analytical role such as strategic consulting or investment banking, with deep exposure to Marketing, Revenue, or Finance data.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data modeling, with a proven ability to derive insights from complex datasets and translate them into compelling visualizations and dashboards
  • Familiarity with semantic layer BI tools (e.g., Omni, Looker) and modern data stack tooling (e.g., dbt, Google Big Query).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments, driving analytical work end-to-end from problem framing through implementation and iteration.
  • Solid grasp of data modeling principles, including the ability to define metrics, enforce business logic, and contribute meaningfully to how data is structured upstream.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences and influence strategic decisions with data-backed recommendations.
  • Proven ability to navigate competing stakeholder priorities, drive alignment across functions, and engage effectively in cross-functional environments.

What we can offer:
  • A highly-skilled, inspiring, and supportive team
  • Positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth
  • A global, multi-culturally diverse group of colleagues and customers
  • Comprehensive health plans and perks
  • A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs
  • Competitive stock options program and location-based salary
  • Salary Range: $180k - $195k annually. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience and skill set.
