Job description

Job Title: Stocker / Receiver Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Executive Chef Effective Date: October 2024
Job Summary:
North Ridge Country Club is a private club with multiple food & beverage outlets. The Socker / Receiver works with the Purchasing Manager in ordering, receiving, stocking and maintaining food inventory. They are responsible for inspecting incoming orders, reconciling deliveries to the order manifest and stocking incoming shipments. This role maintains a clean and tidy work area and is already to provide assistance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks, including reconciliation of deliveries to orders and distributing incoming items to appropriate departments/locations.
  • Respond to supplier and employee inquiries for order status, substitutions, or cancellations.
  • Verifies incoming goods against invoices and inspects the condition/freshness of contents before accepting delivery.
  • Accepts and returns merchandise per management instructions.
  • Maintain and organize the Dry Storage room, putting dry goods away when they arrive and keeping area sanitary and organized. Rotate stock by date of receipt for freshness.
  • Deliver perishables (food) to the kitchen in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an organized Dock area, remove pallets, and clean/clear the dock at the end of the day.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing manager regarding opportunities to improve NRCC processes, especially regarding sourcing, product quality, and efficiency.
  • Perform weekly offsite scheduled pickups and specialty pickups/returns as requested.
  • Monitor inventory supplies and alert the Purchasing Manager to reorder needs.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Must possess clear communication skills and be able to work well under pressure.
Must possess a positive attitude and be service-oriented to assist others

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years related experience required.
Physical Requirements:
Physical Bending and kneeling while moving items.
Repeated lifting, pulling and carrying of product.
Ability to sweep, mop, and lift/push/pull heavy items (50+lbs).
Valid NC State driver's license.
