Job description

The Mobile Service Technician position, at the Mills Auto Group, in Fort Mill, SC, is an exciting opportunity for a talented and detail-oriented technician, to take on a full-time skilled labor role. The technician will be responsible for managing and completing maintenance and recall services for commercial fleet accounts. This position has the potential to require a large amount of travel locally and outside of our region depending on our clients needs. Being successful in this role requires high flexibility, and excellent integrity.ย 

ย Duties and Responsibilities

โ€ข Examine cars based on customer requests and/or concerns

.โ€ข Perform basic maintenance including rotating tires, checking fluid levels, and changing oil.

โ€ข Repair or replace worn parts and systems such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors.

โ€ข Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper working order and/or to evaluate degree of damage.

โ€ข Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems.

โ€ข Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both computerized diagnostic equipment and the naked eye.

โ€ข Determine appropriate repair measures based on research, peer-to-peer examination, and past experience.

โ€ข Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately, taking into account original repair strategy, and customer specifications.

โ€ข Ensure customer satisfactions at all times.

ย Requirements and Qualifications

โ€ข High School diploma or equivalent preferred

โ€ข Basic computer skills required

โ€ข Certification in a related field from a vocational school a plus

โ€ข Strong verbal communication skills (will be expected to relay auto repair information to customers and other mechanics)

โ€ข Detail oriented and thorough, organized

โ€ข Physical strength and stamina, and ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
