Job description

Summary:

Families Together is an innovative therapeutic program that provides voluntary, strength-based, home visiting services throughout Santa Cruz County in an effort to increase safety, improve parent-child relationships, and support healthy child development.

Encompass Community Services is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee the Families Together Program. This position is full-time non-exempt, 32 hours per week. The ideal candidate has both administrative oversight experience as well as strong clinical experience with systems-involved families. The Manager of Families Together monitors contract, multiple budgets, and supports the team to meet contracted outcomes, performance and professional development goals, along with maintaining positive partner relationships, and serving as a strong leader in the Encompass Integrated Behavioral Health Youth & Family service area.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor program activities, demonstrate effective leadership, and ensure delivery of quality services.
  • Meet established revenue and program goals
  • Collaborate closely with funding partners, First 5, Santa Cruz County Human Services Department (Family and Children’s Services and CalWORKs), and County Behavioral Health
  • Coordinate closely with clinical supervisor and administrative manager about client services and team oversight
  • Support service area director and finance team with accurate development of program budgets and scopes of work; monitor program budgets
  • Complete annual and semi-annual funder reports
  • Interview, hire, and train new staff; complete annual performance reviews

Qualifications:

Required:

    • Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or closely related field; or at least 3 years’ experience successfully managing similarly-scope program
    • Strong leadership and multicultural responsiveness
    • Experience working with systems-involved families; working knowledge of attachment, trauma and family systems
    • Very strong computer literacy and writing skills
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Criminal Record Clearance, Physical Examination and TB test clearance prior to official hire

Wages & Benefits: 

Salary range for this position is based on 32 hours per week: $39.00  to $41.00 per hour. .
