Job description

We are working with a growing real estate practice in Nashville seeking a Commercial Real Estate Title Specialist to support complex, multi-state transactions. This is a fast-paced role ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Support attorneys on complex commercial real estate transactions, including mixed-finance, affordable housing, and LIHTC deals
  • Review title searches, surveys, and zoning to assist with underwriting commercial transactions (purchase, refinance, leasehold, construction)
  • Prepare and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in accordance with underwriting standards
  • Identify and resolve title issues, clear exceptions, and coordinate with stakeholders to keep deals on track
  • Maintain organized files and track deal status, including reporting on open files and activity
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, attorneys, and title partners
  • Assist with compliance, file audits, and general transaction support
Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial title or underwriting
  • Strong understanding of title insurance, escrow processes, and commercial transactions
  • Experience reviewing title and resolving curative issues preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and title software (SoftPro, Rynoh, or similar)
  • Highly organized with strong communication and time management skills
