Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Real Estate Tax Lease Analyst, you will serve as a critical guardian of our real estate portfolio’s financial integrity, ensuring the precision of property tax data, lease obligations, and exemption statuses across our national footprint. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Apex property and lease management system, providing essential data-driven insights to the Accounting and Finance departments to ensure our real estate assets remain compliant, optimized, and financially sound.

Every day you will manage the complex documentation required for 501(c)3 real estate tax-exempt filings, reconcile property financial statements and rent rolls, and track invoice payments against purchase orders. You will act as a key collaborator for the National Real Estate Services leadership team, preparing executive presentations and coordinating administrative workflows, while simultaneously partnering with external stakeholders to support property tax appeals and ensure all financial obligations are settled well ahead of regulatory deadlines.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong background in commercial real estate operations, tax compliance, and database management. You are a detail-oriented analytical professional who excels at interpreting complex financial documentation, maintaining standardized operational guidelines, and proactively identifying process improvements. Your ability to bridge the gap between technical accounting data and organizational strategy will be instrumental in supporting our mission and maintaining operational excellence.

  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of 501(c)3 real estate tax exemption filings to ensure full regulatory compliance and cost-effective operations.
  • Maintain and optimize the Apex property and lease management database, ensuring 100% data integrity for all owned buildings and lease agreements.
  • Conduct annual reconciliations of property expenses and real estate taxes, ensuring all financial statements and rent rolls are accurate and audit-ready.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate tax appeals and ensure all payments are processed prior to critical deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive real estate property tax exemption filing best practice manual to standardize workflows across the organization.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to National Real Estate Services leadership, including the preparation of presentations and the management of legal lease service requests.
Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accouting and Finance
  • 3 years working in the Corporate/Commercial Real Estate Services field 
  • Understands key process issues and makes sure process improvements happen
  • 2 years working with property tax exemption filings
  • Working knowledge of real estate terms & processes
  • Good problem-solver. Sorts through issues and conducts comparative analysis of multiple solutions
  • Understands key process issues and makes sure process improvements happen

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of current property tax exemption filing processes in various counties/states
  • Working knowledge of real estate software
  • Vendor Coordination (PPN)
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace applications
