Job description


We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager / Leasing Agent to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our company, this individual plays a critical role in creating a positive and professional first impression for current residents, prospective tenants, owners, vendors, and the general public.
The successful candidate will be responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, responding promptly and professionally to tenant and prospective tenant emails, and directing inquiries to the appropriate team members. A consistently positive attitude, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service are essential for this role. Your office duties will also include office administration, supplies/inventory monitoring, and incoming rent and mail entry.
In addition to front office responsibilities, this position will have direct interaction with prospective tenants by conducting property showings throughout Winnebago County and surrounding areas. Responsibilities also include completing daily property and showing reports, assisting the Property Manager with marketing available properties, processing rental applications, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the property management team.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, possesses excellent time management and prioritization skills, maintains a good driving record, and is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. They are naturally driven to deliver exceptional customer service, build trust with residents and prospective tenants, and maintain a professional, friendly demeanor in every interaction. A proactive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
Some experience in sales/marketing or a service-related industry, property management & fair housing preferred
Computer & phone app proficiency - Microsoft Office
Local area knowledge
Valid driver's license and insurance is required
Competency in, or the ability to become competent in, the following:
